Parents and Teachers Guide
On their way to school, Nader and his sister Aziza see a cat stuck in a tall tree. They rescue it and Nader puts it in his school bag. The cat jumps out of the bag in the classroom during math class, and funny situations happen. At home, while the father is reading a story to Nader and Aziza, the cat comes out of its hiding place. The father feels it and starts sneezing. The cat quickly runs away. Suddenly, everyone hears a scratching and clawing sound at the door and finds the mother cat has come to take the kitten. Discussion: - What would you do if you saw a cat stuck in a tree? - Is it okay to take pets to school? - Why did the father start sneezing? Are everyone allergic to cats? - What activity did the father do in this story with his two children? What activities would you do with your father? With your mother? - How do you think the mother cat was able to know where the kitten was? - If you were Nader, would you keep the cat, or return it to its mother?
