Written by: Taghreed Al-Najjar
Jad and Tala spend their day playing indoors because it is raining outside. At night, thunder and lightning strike.
Tala gets scared and goes to Jad's room to sleep. However, the thunder gets louder and the lightning gets stronger. Will the two of them be able to go back to sleep? And what will Mom and Dad do to help them?

The storm intensifies at night, so Tala goes to Jad's room because she is afraid of the thunder and lightning outside. As Jad tries to reassure her, the thunder becomes louder and the lightning becomes brighter, making Jad feel scared too. Jad and Tala spend the night in Mom and Dad's room, who in turn spend a long, hard night in Jad and Tala's rooms. For discussion: - What does a storm mean? - What happens when the wind gets stronger? - Does the wind make a sound? What is the name of this sound? - What flashed in the sky? - What sound did Jad and Tala hear? - Why are we sometimes afraid of lightning and thunder? - What do you do when you feel scared? - What things make you feel comfortable and reassured? - If you were in Jad and Tala's place, and you felt afraid, what would you do?
