About the author: Dr. Heba Hariri is a Saudi psychotherapist, academic, and researcher. She holds a PhD in Counseling and Psychotherapy from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She is the first Saudi psychotherapist internationally certified by the EMDR Trauma Therapy Association. She has been an associate professor and researcher in the Psychology Department at Jeddah University since 2007, and has presented numerous educational and training programs in mental health and safe parenting both locally and internationally.


She has authored several specialized books, most notably: The Making of Life's Stars (2010), How to Talk About Everything About Sex with Children (2020), and her latest publication, Child Sexual Abuse (2025), which is a comprehensive guide to awareness, prevention, and psychological treatment.

In addition to her writings, Dr. Hariri has published pioneering scientific research in the fields of clinical psychology, mental health, parenting and psychotherapy, and has provided therapeutic services to children and adults in the United States and Saudi Arabia.
